Shiraz

Decorative and unusual purple peas. Should be harvested small and tender, about 6 cm long – when the pods get too large, the taste and colour deteriorate. Best eaten fresh and uncooked in salads or lightly pan-fried in butter. When cooked, the colour changes to green.
