Blooms white but produces a wonderful seed pod that, misleadingly, is not black but a dark plum colour. The pods can be used both dried and fresh. Appreciated by pollinators and other beneficial insects. Dries well. Vase life approx. 7 days.
Sow directly in early spring when the soil temperature is around 16 degrees Celsius. Cover with a thin layer of soil as the seeds require light to germinate. Harvest the flowers when they are in full bloom. To dry the pods, they can be hung upside down in a dark and warm room for about 2 weeks.
