Pure white, smooth variety with a sweet and fruity taste and crisp texture. Dark green, smooth foliage that is also good for use. Turnips have a mild and delicate cabbage flavour, somewhat reminiscent of swede. They are easy to grow and mature quickly, and should be harvested when small. Turnips are sensitive to high summer temperatures and drought.

The quality is best when grown in spring or, even better, towards late summer, when there is less risk of cabbage root fly infestation. Cover the crop with insect netting to prevent attacks from pests such as cabbage root fly and cabbage moth.
